“Ampang” means two different places to the people who live there. On the Selangor side, under MPAJ, are the flats and terraces of Pandan Indah, Pandan Jaya, Pandan Perdana and Taman Cempaka, the mature streets of Taman Dagang and Taman Melawati, and the hillside homes of Bukit Antarabangsa, Ukay Heights and Ukay Perdana. On the KL side are Ampang Hilir, Taman U-Thant and Kampung Pandan, where embassies sit beside large condominiums off Jalan Ampang. Ampang Point and Spectrum Shopping Mall are the local shopping centres, Ampang station is the end of the LRT Ampang Line, and the MRR2 is the road that links the two halves.
We cover both halves as one service zone. This page is the Ampang part of our aircond service in KL & the Klang Valley: what the local housing does to an aircond, what each job costs here, and how to book. Send us your taman or condo name and the number of units through the enquiry form, and we confirm a fixed price for servicing before we come. Repairs and parts are quoted before any work starts.
Pandan flats and Bukit Antarabangsa hillsides: Ampang’s two aircond problems
Ampang’s housing was built in waves, and each wave has its own aircond fault.
Pandan Indah, Pandan Jaya, Pandan Perdana and Taman Cempaka
The 1980s and 1990s flats and terraces along the Pandan corridor are the largest block of homes in Ampang Jaya. In the flats, the outdoor unit sits on a bracket on the shared corridor or in an air-well. Corridors collect dust and lint from washing hung out to dry, and air-wells trap cooking exhaust, so the condenser coil clogs long before anything else fails. A clogged coil cannot throw off heat, and the room stops cooling even though the compressor is running. Rinsing the outdoor coil is the single most useful part of a normal service here. Many of these units still run on R22: one that needed gas last year and is weak again has a leak, so we pressure-test and quote the repair rather than top it up again. A worn compressor on a unit of this age gets a repair-versus-replace figure on site.
Bukit Antarabangsa, Ukay Heights and Ukay Perdana
On the hill, houses are built into slopes, and the condenser ends up on a roof, a retaining wall or a lower terrace. That means two things for us. First, access: we bring ladders and safety gear. Second, pipe length: a long run from the indoor unit to a rooftop condenser holds more refrigerant than a standard install, so a gas charge has to be calculated to the pipe length, not added until the air feels cold. Hillside homes also sit under trees. Leaf litter and damp foul indoor units over the years, which is where a chemical overhaul earns its place.
Ampang Hilir, Taman U-Thant and Kampung Pandan
The embassy-row condos on the KL side carry multi-split systems, and some carry ducted fan-coil units in the ceiling. One outdoor unit may serve three or four rooms. A fault in a shared outdoor unit shows up as one room not cooling, and washing that room’s wall unit does not fix it. We diagnose the system as a whole and tell you when the fault sits in the shared outdoor unit, so you can raise it with the management office or the owner instead of paying for a wash that changes nothing.
Taman Melawati and Taman Dagang
The mature terraces here have had units added room by room over the decades, so a single house can hold a mix of R22, R410A and R32 systems. Each outdoor unit is checked for its own refrigerant type before anything is opened. Mould on the louvres or a slow drip from the indoor unit points to a chemical wash rather than a normal service.
Getting to the unit: flats, condos and hillside homes
Pandan Indah and Pandan Jaya flats: the outdoor unit is on the shared corridor or in the air-well, so we confirm with you how the technician reaches it and whether the block’s management has rules on work at the corridor bracket. Ampang Hilir, Taman U-Thant and Bukit Antarabangsa condos: most management offices want a contractor pass and restrict noisy work to daytime hours. Tell us the building name; we send the technician’s details for the pass and keep to the office’s working hours. Hillside landed homes: send a photo of where the condenser sits, and we arrive with the right ladder or roof-access kit.
Coverage across Ampang and the KL–Selangor boundary
We cover Pandan Indah, Pandan Jaya, Pandan Perdana, Pandan Mewah, Taman Cempaka, Taman Dagang, Taman Kosas, Taman Nirwana, Bukit Antarabangsa, Ukay Heights, Ukay Perdana, Taman Melawati, Ulu Klang, Ampang Hilir, Taman U-Thant and Kampung Pandan. The council boundary does not change the price list; the fixed price for servicing is confirmed before we come. Same-day slots go to bookings made before the afternoon cut-off; later bookings are scheduled for the next morning. Read who we are if you want to know how we work before you book.
